What to Watch on TV This Week: 1/26 - 1/31

Big TV gal over here, y’all.

Ever find yourself flipping through your TV guide or Netflix, Hulu, or Prime Video? Well, stop. Because I got a TV guide for you. Here’s a list of shows & movies that are on-air this week—whether premiering this week or a hidden gem on a streaming app.

Sunday, January 26:

The Grammys are on! If award shows are your thing, or even if they’re not, the Grammys are here. Alicia Keys will be hosting, and Taylor Swift will not be attending, despite the three nominations. Check it out at 8 p.m. And don’t miss the red carpet buzz!!

Monday, January 27:

The Bachelor fans, this one’s for you. This doesn’t even NEED an introduction. Don’t miss Pete’s search for love as more drama unfolds this next episode. You won’t want to miss this one.

For non-Bachelor fans, maybe try catching up on This is Us before the new episode airs on Tuesday. Or, if you love true crime podcasts, binge-watch this new show on Netflix that just aired its second season … You! I just started watching it and I’m like, actually obsessed. Joe Goldberg is, like, actually kinda hot?

Tuesday, January 28:

It’s here! The new episode of This is Us airs tonight. It’s supposed to be a good one. Hold onto your tissue boxes for this episode!

If you don’t watch This is Us, but still regularly cry at Grey’s Anatomy, try watching ER on Hulu. I just started the 90s show, and I really love it! It has a similar storyline to Grey’s, includes different cases each episode, and intertwines patients’ cases with the doctors’ storylines. Plus, it has George Clooney.

Wednesday, January 29:

Take a break. You’ve been watching too much TV. Read a book.

Thursday: January 30:

Grey’s Anatomy fans, hold onto your wine glasses for this one. The beloved 16-season show is now airing at 9 p.m. If you watch Station 19, great! It comes on right before Grey’s, but if you don’t watch the firefighter show, bad news. Last week was a crossover episode, and if you don’t watch it, this episode of Grey’s wouldn’t make sense to you. But this week isn’t supposed to be a crossover episode, so catch up now. (Maybe.)

The Bold Type returns for another week! This is personally one of my all-time favorite shows. It’s based on the career of Joanna Coles, former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine and the first Chief Content Officer of Hearst Magazines. Joanna is one of the executive producers on the show. The first episode came out, and I was SCREAMING. It was so good! I absolutely can’t wait to watch this week’s episode. It’s similar to Sex and the City and Younger, so if you liked any of those shows, or work in a magazine setting, or just love writing and entertainment, this show is for you.

Friday, January 31:

Planning to stay in on a Friday night? Girl, me too. You need a sitcom! Try Schitt’s Creek. The new and final season just started airing on TV, and it’s never too late to catch up on old episodes. Can we get a prequel of Alexis Rose’s life pre-Schitt’s Creek?

If you’re looking for more of a longer episode, or mystery show, watch the show Cheer on Netflix. Reese Witherspoon “cried big baby tears” and Chrissy Teigen stalked all the characters on Instagram after binging the entire six-episode show. It’s a must-watch.

Happy TV-watching, lovelies!!
