Queen Demi Returns, A Pool Party, and More Drama: The Bachelor Ep. 3 Recap
Back at it again with the Bachelor recaps, y’all.
I’m even more surprised than you are that I’m continuing with this series. But it’s still the first month of the new year and I’m still determined! Give this post a share if you like it.
We’re back with The Bachelor, and of course, there’s drama. But frankly, I’m seeing no romance with Peter—this episode. I’m seeing a lot of chemistry between him and Kelley, him and Madison, and honestly…him and Hannah Ann. That last one is literally a repeat of Luke P. and Hannah Brown, and none of us want to revisit that. I think Peter is getting a taste of what Hannah went through, and since he saw how it affected other men in the house, he’ll have a better understanding of what to do in this situation. But overall, not that much chemistry. I mean, we’re only on week three, but I feel like Colton and especially Arie (throwin’ it back!) were full on making out with the women. And Colton was (still is?) a virgin. Hopefully we see more relationships forming next week.
First Date: Victoria P.
Victoria P. looks like Barbie come to life, while Peter looks like Ken come to life. The cookie-cutter duo. (Name a better duo!) This date is so...random. There is no way that Peter does this on a regular basis. But although their date is random, their date is so freaking adorable because of the two that are on it. I happen to like Victoria, she seems natural and doesn’t seem drama … compared to the rest of the girls in the house. I hope she’s not the center of any more drama, but the commercials might say otherwise … I will say, Victoria has one of the most gut-wrenching stories. As I was reaching for my cheese board, my heartstrings were pulling. I think we’re all now fangirling over Peter and Victoria’s relationship. If she doesn’t win Peter’s heart, she’s a real contender for The Bachelorette.
Side Notes:
Sydney = the Dylan of the group
Alayah = the Caelynn of the group
Just thought I’d mention these, because they’re on the top of my mind. Like … Sydney just seems like such a Dylan. I bet she’ll find her Hannah G.-male equivalent in BIP. And Alayah seems like the Caelynn of the group just because she’s a pageant queen, and she is being a little fake and always “on.” (Sorry, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Caelynn on Colton’s season after she attacked Hannah Brown!!!!)
QUEEN DEMI IS BACk, y’all.
Group Date: Alayah, Sydney, Savannah, Kelley, Sarah, Tammy, Shiann, Kiarra
This whole date is cringeworthy. Girls fighting other girls in a pillow fight? It’s only great because of Demi and Chris Harrison. The girls were dressed in lingerie while Savannah was dressed in a muumuu (honestly, same).
Alayah is being kinda fake, Sydney is a sneaky cat, and Kelley is still judging everyone. (Honestly, same.) Sydney questions Alayah’s true intentions. I mean, Alayah did sit on top of the counter in the house while wearing a pilot’s hat and just act all fake and then called girls out for not being on the group date. “How do you feel not being on this group date?” And then, at the group date cocktail party, Sydney straight up asks Alayah if she works or not. Bachelor Twitter called Syd out on that one, because Bachelor alums don’t work after they gain 1.2 million Instagram followers, but I mean, I gotta give it to Syd on this one. That was straight savage and my jaw dropped when I heard her say that.
But then she confronted Peter about it. Bad news, Syd. That never works out in your favor. Sydney calls out Alayah, and then later, when Peter confronts the ENTIRE group date about it (embarrassing for Syd) Alayah is “not denying” it but she’s really denying it. She seems like the most fake girl in the house, and that’s saying a lot with Hannah Ann walking around the mansion. Anyway, with the whole calling Sydney out, like geez, talk about a target on your back. But hey, it worked out in her favor because Sydney did get the group date rose.
Group Date Rose: Sydney
The Pool Party Where No One Gets In The Pool
Alayah is asking advice from Hannah Ann—like stop. Alayah, Hannah Ann, and Mykenna are teaming up—LOL it just looks like Mykenna is wanting to escape. (She’s one of my favorite lifestyle bloggers!)
It seems that this entire pool party is just Peter doing his own little Q+A to determine who’s there for “real” and who’s there for the Instagram followers. Almost everyone gave their opinions (when it should have just been the ones involved), but it was Victoria’s testimony that set him over the edge and made him confront Alayah. Victoria knew Alayah before the show, Alayah told her to not tell producers they know each other. (I guess didn’t want another Hannah B/Caelynn situation??) And now he’s dramatically walking away after a hostile confrontation between him and Alayah. Alayah tries to deny it, claiming that she’s being genuine and that she’s here for him.
As Mykenna said, (and I use this quote loosely), all of these girls had to have this time with him, but it was instead used up by unnecessary drama.

All I can say is … that promo. Next week (1/27) is Victoria’s date with Peter (the VA Beach one), including a run-in with her ex, Chase Rice, who is the country artist for the date. THAT will be interesting. Man, the producers really must be proud of themselves for that one. Then Alayah comes back, again defending herself. At the end of this episode, Peter expresses regret over sending her home, so who knows—maybe he’ll invite her back on the show. SMH, that’s not how the show works, Peter (and Alayah). Must be taking practical Bachelor advice from the fence-jumper @coltonunderwood. But get real: what Bachelor producer is behind this?? “Alayah, I know you got kicked off last week but can you come back and defend yourself here?” We’ll have to wait and see. What’s fun about this show is that you’re always surprised!
Until next Monday, have a great rest of your week!
