A Round-Up Of Hallmark Christmas Movies to Watch This Christmas Season
I am a BIG fan of Christmas movies. Like, big fan as in I have to watch The Santa Clause every Christmas season. But as a sappy romance book fan, I cannot NOT watch Hallmark Christmas movies. However, I canceled my cable subscription (#budgetqueen) this past year and even when I did have cable, I was barely watching anything else besides Bachelor and award shows. HOWEVER, I am on a mission to watch more Hallmark Christmas movies this season and in doing so, I rounded up some lovely, delightful, and not-at-all cheesy Hallmark movies to watch this Christmas season. (Okay, maybe they’re a little bit cheesy.) You can find most of these, if not all, on Prime Video or download the Hallmark app on Apple TV, entitled Hallmark Movies Now, and pay only $6.99 a month. (Bonus: you can cancel this at any time, so you can only use it for November and December and cancel in the new year.) Or, like me, you can get YouTube TV for only $64.99 a month and enjoy all of the channels you typically enjoy with cable.

You, Me and the Christmas Trees
Ever heard of Arbor Day? Yeah, this arborist in this Christmas Hallmark movie falls in love with a farmer as she tries to save his trees before the town tree lighting. Intriguing? I think yes.

Boyfriends of Christmas Past
Think … A Christmas Carol … but like with your ex-boyfriends. Leading up to Christmas, marketing executive, Lauren, is visited by the ghosts of four ex-boyfriends. She must learn to open her heart or risk losing her best friend, Nate. (Btw, Nate is played by Sav from Degrassi: The Next Generation.) This sounds very intriguing and I’m into it!
The Santa Stakeout
Starring Tamera Mowry (aka one half of Sister, Sister) two police detectives posing as newlyweds to solve recent holiday party heists are swept up by Christmas while observing the prime suspect.
Christmas in Harmony
Riverdale fans, drumroll please … Ashleigh Murray (aka Josie from Riverdale) stars as a music executive in Christmas in Harmony who returns home to North Carolina to win her job back while also co-directing the church choir with her ex-boyfriend (played by Luke James). Michelle Williams also co-stars. This movie was DELIGHTFUL and I highly recommend it to anyone. It wasn’t too cheesy, had a fantastic cast (um, aside from Riverdale’s Ashleigh Murray, it also had Grey’s Anatomy’s Loretta Devine, aka Adele Webber). Catch it Sunday, November 14 at 2 pm!
Coyote Creek Christmas
While throwing a Christmas Around the World party at her family’s inn, an event planner discovers Christmas magic with a charming father-son duo. Starring Janel Parrish, this sounds intriguing and after watching the trailer/sneak peek, I want a batch of cookies straight from the oven. Watch on the Hallmark channel on Saturday, November 13 at 2 pm!
Christmas Sail
This is a father-daughter duo holiday Hallmark movie! When Liz returns home to take care of her estranged father, she is determined to give her daughter a perfect Christmas and reconnects with her best friend. This is sounding intriguing the more and more I read about it!
Gingerbread Miracle
Maya is a freelance attorney who, after a minor setback, has been living in the apartment above her parents’ garage and using the Casillas Panaderia as her unofficial office for the past couple of years. The Mexican bakery has held a warm spot in her heart ever since she worked there as a teenager alongside her high school crush, Alejandro “Alex” Casillas, the handsome nephew of the owner. When Alex’s uncle asks for Maya’s help in selling the bakery, Alex decides to return home to celebrate one last Christmas in the bakery and help Maya find a buyer for the bakery, whether or not she actually wants his help.
Next Stop, Christmas
Angie wonders what life would be like if she had married an ex who became famous. When she finds herself magically transported into the past, Angie has the chance to relive that Christmas and learn what (and who) is truly important to her. I caught a part of this movie, and while it has its classic Hallmark cheesiness factors, it still was a delight to watch. Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Thursday (11/11) and Saturday (11/20).
A Christmas Treasure
After opening a 100-year-old time capsule, a woman meets a charming chef and wonders if she should move to New York and further her writing career. This movie sounds chaotic and nostalgic and romantic all at the same time and I’m here for it. Definitely checking this one out. Watch on The Hallmark Channel Friday (11/12), Tuesday (11/16), and Saturday (11/20).
My Christmas Family Tree
A woman meets long-lost relatives for the first time after discovering her family tree during the holidays. Sounds interesting enough, and the girl from that movie Prom, Aimee Teegarden plays the lead. Watch on the Hallmark Channel Saturday (11/13), Sunday (11/14), and Thursday (11/18).
Nantucket Noel
During the Seaside Noel celebrations, Christina learns of a developer who is planning to tear down the wharf that is home to her toy store. Tensions rise as she falls for the developer’s son, Andy. I watched this a couple of times, and each time, it didn’t get any better. Yes, it had its cheesiness and yes, it was the typical Hallmark delight, but the plot and the acting wasn’t it for me. Watch on The Hallmark Channel on Friday (11/19) at 8 pm.
A Christmas Together With You
During the Christmas season, Megan and her father-figure Frank head out on a road trip to find his long-lost love. Along the way, Megan finds the love of her own life. Watch on The Hallmark Channel on Saturday (11/20) at 8 pm.
Christmas at Castle Hart
For fans of A Christmas Prince! Brooke Bennett goes to Ireland for Christmas to search for her Irish roots. While there, she meets charming Aiden Hart, Earl of Glaslough. (Of course, because what woman in a Hallmark movie doesn’t meet a handsome royal when they travel to Europe?) Mistaken for an elite event planner, she’s hired to host his castle’s epic Christmas party.
The Christmas Contest
Starring Candace Cameron Bure, who is the queen of Christmas (self-titled), this one looks the same as the others. Exes Lara and Ben compete in a Christmas contest to win money for the charity of their choosing. The city watches them battle and choose what is more important, victory or love. Sparks fly, and so does the Christmas spirit. Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, November 28 at 8 pm.
A Very Merry Bridesmaid
OH MY GOSH, this stars Emily Osment, aka Lily/Lola from Hannah Montana. She plays Leah, a very merry bridesmaid (yes, I meant to do that). Leah’s 30th birthday is on Christmas Eve, the same day as her brother’s wedding. Her childhood crush is back in town for the wedding and he is determined to make sure her birthday is celebrated. Such a cute childhood crush moment! Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, December 4 at 8 pm.
The Christmas House 2: Deck the Halls
For those wondering if there’s a first movie, yes, there is. Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) stars in this sequel Christmas film. The Mitchell brothers compete to see who can create the best Christmas House.
‘Tis the Season to be Merry
As I go down this list, I can’t help but wonder if the writers of these movies just took popular Christmas song lyrics and turned them into movie titles? Anyway, we have the common city girl goes to small town trope. Looking for a fresh angle to her book on relationships, Merry (played by Rachel Leigh Cook, from She’s All That, He’s All That) heads to snow-covered Vermont. She finds a new perspective and Christmas cheer with charismatic aid worker Adam. Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, December 19 at 8 pm.
Christmas in My Heart
Violinist Beth returns home after the recent death of her mother and tutors the daughter of a reclusive country music star to prepare her for the upcoming holiday concert. Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 13 at 8 pm.
Debbie Macomber’s A Mrs. Miracle’s Christmas
Based on Debbie Macomber’s Christmas novel, when a family faces loneliness and loss of faith, Mrs. Miracle swoops in to renew their Christmas Spirit, and they experience a holiday of heavenly proportions. This stars Caroline Rhea, one of the aunts from Sabrina, The Teenage Witch! Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 6 at 10 pm.
Five More Minutes
Based on Scotty McCreery’s hit country single, Five More Minutes, this story is about a woman’s holiday wish that’s answered in unexpected ways when her late grandfather’s journal is discovered, revealing a previously untold romance. Watch on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 20 at 10 pm.
