My Favorite Email Newsletters That I Actually Read Every Day

Something I’ve started to incorporate in my morning routine is to sit down and actually read some of my emails (instead of deleting all of the spam emails I get from various stores). Some of those emails are email newsletters or newsletters from bloggers I follow and read.

These are my favorite newsletters that I’ve been reading lately. They contain so many things regarding to self-care, pop culture commentary, style tips, skincare essentials, link roundups, and more. I like that these newsletters are catered to their specific type of audience; they make these emails relational and as if you’re grabbing coffee with them like they’re an old friend.

Girls’ Night In

One of the first newsletters that I ever subscribed to. Alisha Ramos started this newsletter when she was creatively burnt out from her job. This newsletter is for women who love staying in, getting cozy, and curling up with a good book or TV show to watch. The newsletter comes out every Friday, and has weekly reads, advice from Girls Night In employees, cozy essentials, what to watch, read, and listen to, and so much more each week. I found a few podcasts and tons of book recommendations from this newsletter — highly recommend subscribing!

The Stripe | Grace Atwood

Grace’s newsletter has quickly become a favorite of mine; recently, she decided to quit her podcast, Bad on Paper, and I’m going to miss her part in the pod! Her newsletter will quickly fill that void. Grace, in her newsletter, gives advice, the 4-1-1 on skincare, style tips, and of course, all the book recommendations. Her newsletter is very relational, as like her blog, but her newsletter is more like the older sister that I never had.

The Newsette

This is an incredible newsletter to get all of your news — in one place. Created for millennial and Gen Z women, the newsletter comes out every day and includes news from around the world, pop culture commentary, and even short interviews with amazing women from different job fields. They also give tips and product recommendations as well. Love, love, love! Perfect for readers of The Skimm.

The Skimm

Speaking of The Skimm, I love this newsletter! I’ve been subscribing since college and have never unsubscribed. The perfect place to get all of your news simplified in one place, and again, pop culture news as well, and a lot of branded content that includes products that I’ll actually use. Definitely an email newsletter that every millennial and Gen Z woman should subscribe to!

A Thing or Two with Claire and Erica

I’ve only started reading this newsletter very recently, but oh my gosh, it’s so entertaining! They give weekly roundups of links that both of them are loving and sometimes include tips and product recommendations. Definitely an email that will bring a smile to your face the first thing in the morning when you sit down at your computer to start the day.

Morning Brew

Similar to The Newsette and The Skimm, the Morning Brew is a newsletter that gives news highlights from around the world — but the Morning Brew also gives news on the stock market, world news, the economy, and more. The Morning Brew has “side” newsletters, or newsletters for specific topics. One of those includes Sidekick, which talks about productivity and tools on how to take care of yourself at work. Definitely a newsletter to check out.

POPSUGAR

This is a newsletter rounding up different articles from POPSUGAR, so it’s not specifically tailored to an email list, but I love catching up with some of the articles from POPSUGAR, specifically the entertainment category because sometimes I need a catch up on what’s happening in pop culture! Other topics round up articles on lifestyle, house essentials, and more.

Refinery 29 Money Diaries

These newsletters are so funny, because one day, they’ll feature a story/money diary from someone who makes $160,000 and lives in New York — something that is not relatable to me, but the next day, will include a story/money diary from someone who makes $50,000 and lives in a smaller town. I like this newsletter, specifically the Money Diaries, because they include a wide variety of salaries and how that person with that salary spends their money throughout the week. Highly recommend checking this one out.

Her First $100K

Started by Tori Dunlap, a personal finance coach and blogger, Her First $100K is a blog/website designed to make investing and money conversations more transparent and easy to understand for millennial and Gen Z women. Tori does an excellent job of making money conversations easy to understand — I just started subscribing to her newsletter and I love it!

Insider

One online newspaper/publication that I started subscribing to is Business Insider, and I signed up for their email newsletter which covers articles on careers, jobs, and specifically what I like, side hustles, content creation, and the influencer industry. Even though I’m not an “influencer,” I still like reading the profiles on how influencers took their side hustles full-time, how they make money, and more.

And those are it! I love opening newsletters first thing in the morning; it genuinely puts a smile on my face.
