10 Lifestyle Products You Need In Your Apartment To Make Your Life Easier
Hey, friends. I just moved (!!!) into a new apartment only a month ago, and let me tell you … it is stressful. Fortunately, this isn’t my first apartment so I have a lot of the basic furniture staples that you need: a bed frame/mattress/headboard, couch, desk, and rug. But coming from a studio and into a one-bedroom, I need more furniture. And while shopping for new furniture, I’m looking for other apartment items like art prints, decor items, and products that will help me just do life.
These are the lifestyle products that have helped me tremendously whether in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, or in the living room.
Air fryer
This one should be immediately in your cart after you finish reading this blog post. When I first bought my air fryer, I questioned why I didn’t have this earlier. You can cook literally anything in your air fryer no matter what size you have. Some things I love to cook in my air fryer: Trader Joe’s sweet potato gnocchi, cauliflower gnocchi, samosas. Highly recommend checking this post out to see what you can cook in your air fryer.
Try these on Amazon: 6 qt aqua electric air fryer (I have this one!!), 4 qt Ninja Air Fryer, New House Kitchen Digital 6.8 qt air fryer
Keurig
I can’t not include a Keurig, can’t I? Even if you’re not a coffee drinker, you can brew hot water for your tea-drinking adventures. For the longest time, I had my mom’s hand-me-down basic level Keurig and then by fault of faulty power outlets (that turned out to work later on), I bought a new Keurig for myself that not only brews hot coffee, but iced coffee.
Some influencers will recommend the latte Keurig, so if you’re a big latte gal, then this is the item to splurge on. Some influencers I follow tried the Nespresso and love it. (Although you have to order specific Nespresso pods online instead of going to Target.) If you’re a black coffee-loving gal, then the Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker (or something cheaper) should hit the spot.
Amazon: Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker, Keurig K-Cafe Single-Serve K-Cup Coffee Maker, Latte Maker and Cappucino Maker, Nespresso Mini Coffee and Espresso Machine
Shower caddy
Tired of having all of your shower products all over your shower? Keep all of your products in one place with this shower caddy from Amazon. The three shelves keeps my shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and razors all in one place.
Amazon: Hanging shower head caddy
Dish drying rack
Doing dishes is therapeutic for me, so this dish drying rack helps tremendously. It does take up counter space, so if you live in a smaller apartment with a tiny kitchen, try these smaller options instead.
Amazon: Expandable dish drying rack
Tool box
Even if you live alone, you still will need a tool box! Don’t worry, they sell tool boxes in various colors. What are you going to use to put together that IKEA dresser or night stand? You do not need a fancy tool box, just one with all of the basic essentials. Try these options from Amazon.
Amazon: Black & Decker Tool Box, Cartman 100 pc tool set
First aid kit
Um, this is a given. And I’m not just saying keep spare band-aids in your bathroom. Make sure you have antiseptic cream, wipes, hydrocortisone, wrap, band-aids, and anything else suitable for your needs. Browse on Amazon or in your local pharmacy.
Amazon: First-Aid Kit
Storage utility cart
These carts are so useful for just about anything! Right now, mine is staying put in the bathroom, but that might change since I don’t have a lot of room in my new bathroom. You can use it underneath a desk, by your bed as a nightstand, or some influencers use it as a craft or book cart. Whatever use you find it, they’re multi-purpose!
Amazon: Try this 3-tier rolling metal storage organizer.
Target: Try this gray or white one from Target for $35. (I have this one!!)
Grocery cart
I bought one for my parents one Christmas, and months later, ordered one for myself. I’ve used it twice now, wheeling it to the local grocery store and back, and I love it! Not only is it useful for groceries, it’s useful for carrying large bags (Target, Trader Joe’s, you name it) from your car to your apartment. The one that I got allows you to turn in different directions, while my parents’ one only goes in one direction—meaning, the wheels don’t turn 360 degrees. Super helpful in a pinch!
Try these one from Amazon: Grocery cart with wheels
Velvet Hangers
It’s about time that we upgrade from the wire hangers to velvet hangers. Not only do they look fancier and like we have our lives together, they’re better suited for your work dresses and blazers (along with your loungewear that we have to hang up).
Amazon: Pack of 50 velvet hangers
AirPods
These just make life easier. Not only for your daily walks around the blocks, but when you’re cleaning, doing the dishes, doing laundry, or any other chores—or working on your side hustle, AirPods are worth the investment. Plus, you don’t have to deal with any wires getting tangled in your hair.
Amazon: AirPods (with charging case)
And that’s about it! These products have helped me tremendously and made my life so much easier. Some may be obvious, while some (tool box, velvet hangers) are not so obvious. Let me know down in the comments what products in your apartment make your life easier!
