10 Fall Solo Date Ideas

Something that I’ve been loving doing recently is taking myself out on a date. Self-love has been very important to me in the past few years and taking myself out and treating myself is a crucial part in my self-love routine. Sometimes, it’s nice to buy yourself a fancy meal and drink a glass of wine at a restaurant while you read your favorite book. Or, taking yourself to a movie alone and watching the latest Marvel movie.

Here are 10 🍁 fall 🍁 solo date ideas to try this season!

Visit your local museum.

I live in the D.C. area, so the Smithsonian is literally right there. But no matter where you live, I guarantee there is a local museum in your town or city. I love taking a Saturday with my tote bag and taking myself to the museum to see art, history, and culture. Go give it a try!

Try A New Coffee shop.

This is one of my favorite solo date ideas … and honestly, for me, it’s not even a date but hey — romanticize your life, amirite? Take yourself out for a cup of coffee and stay a while. Take a book and read at a coffee shop. Pretend you’re strolling the streets of Paris and you stumbled upon a coffee shop and you stay a while with a good book. Sound good, right?

Go To The Movie theater.

I love taking myself to the movies. Is there a movie that you really want to see in theaters? Go to the movies alone with nothing but you and a bucket of popcorn and your favorite candy. Honestly, I like going to the movies alone because it means I don’t have to talk to anyone. #antisocial #introvert

Visit Your favorite store

Who said you can have enough retail therapy? Take yourself on a shopping spree! Sure, this may not be the most budget-friendly on the list (although the movies are pretty expensive nowadays), but a lil shopping didn’t hurt anybody. My favorite stores to shop at are Target (obviously), Old Navy, and Barnes & Noble.

Visit Your Favorite (Or New) Bookstore.

Speaking of Barnes & Noble, you can’t go wrong with taking yourself to the bookstore — even if you don’t buy anything! Alternatively, visit the library! You can sit and chill with a good book at the library for a couple of hours and treat yourself to a coffee beforehand.

Go On A Hot girl walk.

This is the most budget-friendly thing on this list, and when I say budget-friendly, I mean free. You can always take yourself out on a hot girl walk, no matter the time or place. Put on your favorite workout leggings and oversized t-shirt — or a cute workout set — and your earphones, put on a podcast, and go on a hot girl walk. Maybe stop for a coffee on the way back?

Have A Spa night.

As in, do your own nails and maybe a facial! Buy this super cool manicure set from Olive & June (which features The Poppy which will revolutionize your manicure game) and treat yourself to a spa night. Maybe watch a couple of rom-coms while you’re at it.

Host A Halloween/spooky movie marathon.

It’s fall, so of course you should watch a few Halloween movies! I’m not a horror movie fan (or even a thriller movie fan) in the slightest, so I do this with Disney Channel Halloween movies — Halloweentown movies and Hocus Pocus are the absolute best.

Bake your favorite (or new) fall-themed desserts.

Baking will always be self-care to me. I think of the video Taylor Swift once posted about fall, and making cinnamon cookies … and honestly, I can’t get it out of my head so I may bake those this fall. Bake your favorite fall dessert!

Power through your TBR pile.

I mean, this is a given. Oh, you already went through your TBR pile? Visit your local library or bookstore and build your own TBR. You can find my book recommendations here.
