A Round-Up of Lifestyle Post-Grad + College YouTubers Who Provide Real + Relatable Content

I wrote a round-up of mid-size YouTubers that inspire me in my body positivity journey. I absolutely loved writing that post, so I decided to write a round-up of YouTubers that I enjoy watching. Now, I want to explain why and how I watch these videos; I don’t watch them mainly to buy into the latest trend, buy a $600 chair, or try to look exactly like them. I don’t watch them so I can make them out to be a “celebrity.” I don’t watch them because they’re “goals.” I watch mainly because they’re relatable; I put them on my screen because it’s like talking to a friend (I don’t talk to the screen, btw). Some of the things they talk about are: mental health and therapy, cooking and exercising even when you don’t feel like it, and the struggles of making friends and dating. These are all things that I’m going through and it’s nice to know that someone else out there is struggling with similar things.

And I hesitated making this post solely post-grad YouTubers, meaning they’ve graduated college and they’re more relatable to me. But there are some college YouTubers that are still relatable to me as a 24-year-old! So, here it is. Due to giving image credit, I link the button to their Instagram—but you can find their YouTube channels in their Instagram bio or I linked them in the description box.

BROOKE MICCIO

By far, she is one of my favorite YouTubers to put on in the background or watch when I’m having a rough day. She posts vlogs of her living in NYC talking about real life problems like therapy, dating, making friends, and of course, fashion, beauty and home decor hauls! If you’re looking for a YouTuber that talks about real life and everyday struggles, but also likes to live tweet The Bachelorette, Brooke is your gal.

kenzie elizabeth

Another one of my absolute favorites. If you’re looking for a faith YouTuber who isn’t 100 percent “Christian influencer,” Kenzie is your gal. In addition to her YouTube channel, she has a podcast, ILYSM Podcast, as well as a faith-based Patreon where she strictly talks about faith. Kenzie is real and relatable but also #goals. I love her two dogs and she owns a house at only 23 years old. So, go subscribe!

katybellotte.jpg

katy bellotte

Another favorite YouTuber to watch! Katy posts videos about life in NYC (now LA), journaling, and self-care. All of her videos have a chill vibe to it—it’s like I want to light a candle and journal while listening to Folklore or Evermore after I watch one of Katy’s videos. Start with her journaling videos because you will instantly go out and buy yourself a bullet journal. She also posts book recs, which is where I found one of my favorite books I have ever read, Park Avenue Summer.” Also check out her podcast, Thick & Thin, where she just chats about anything and everything!

Danielle is a senior in college, but that doesn’t make her any less relatable! She seems to do it all: YouTube, podcast (Gals on the Go with a fellow YouTuber Brooke Miccio), merch, and she just released a new planner with Doing Well Daily. She posts college week in my life videos, fashion and home decor hauls, and tons of tips on how to stay organized and manage your time well. If you’re in college, I highly recommend following her!

GRETCHEN GERaghty

Gretchen is a post-grad YouTuber that once again, provides real and relatable content. I personally love her dog content (she posted a haul for new puppy video), and really, I like that she’s not just another influencer that lives in New York or Los Angeles. In Pennsylvania, she’s just living her life happily with her boyfriend, dog, and family. She posts about lifestyle, fitness, and anything in between. Check her YouTube out as well as her podcast, The Happy Hour Podcast.

jeanine amapola

Jeanine posts videos about fashion, fitness, lifestyle, and my favorite, faith. She talks about her faith a lot on her channel, and even hosts a weekly Bible study called Abide Tribe. I like that she doesn’t just post fitness videos, but also faith; but I also like that she doesn’t just post faith, she incorporates fitness and fashion and FUN with her faith! Highly, highly recommend watching her YouTube videos—and subscribe to her podcast, Happy and Healthy!

michellereed.jpg

MICHELLE REED

Another YouTuber who posts real, relatable, and honest videos. Michelle Reed is a YouTuber that lived in New York, but moved to Dallas when she got married. She posts married life videos, real life struggles with dealing with insecurities, and most importantly, her faith and devotionals. She also has a podcast, “But What’s Next” where she posts about figuring life out as a 20-something.

So, Gabby is a multi-passionate gal herself. She is a blogger, content creator, Ph.D student, and YouTuber. I started following her when she was posting on her old blog, The Swirl (now Gabby in the City) and then most recently, her lifestyle week in my life vlogs and life in NYC on YouTube. Gotta love ALL of her content!! You won’t regret following her on all platforms.

michelle & aline

I absolutely love this duo! Sisters that live in the city (right now Montana), Michelle and Aline are freelancers who dabble in YouTube. Their vlogs are cozy yet chic city, they talk about hot topics, and their personalities are like they could be your best friend. What’s not to love?! I personally love their thrift hauls, them talking about books, and their cooking videos!

mollybailey.jpg

MOLLY BAILEY

I just started following Molly Bailey on Instagram and YouTube, but if you need a fitness inspiration or fitness online friend to motivate you to go exercise, then Molly is your gal. She posts fitness and exercise with me videos, healthy food hauls, and sit down chats about real life topics like dating, relationships, eating healthy, body “goals” and more. Definitely, definitely go follow her!

MORGAN YATES

To be honest, I started following Morgan Yates because she went to college at UNC, and that was so close to my own school, Virginia Tech! I thought she was relatable because we both went to East Coast schools, but now, she’s relatable because she keeps it real on her channel. Not only does she post #goals travel videos, but even in a pandemic, she posts haul videos, “1 second a day” videos for an entire year, advice videos on how to travel, realistic workout challenges, and other fun creative videos. Morgan is an LA-based YouTuber. Highly, highly recommend checking her super fun channel out!

Let me know if you follow anyone else! Some honorable mentions were Breanna Cooney, a faith-based YouTuber, Julia Crist, a lifestyle and tech college YouTuber, and Delaney Hogg, a college and post-grad lifestyle YouTuber. I’m always down to finding more YouTube gals and supporting content creators. Like I mentioned earlier, I don’t follow these YouTubers to make them out to be a “celebrity” or even influencer. Do they influence me to buy certain products? Yes. But what their content makes them so great is that they are relatable and make you think that you’re just chatting with them over coffee.
