What to Watch on TV This Week: 11/11-11/17
As I write this post, I’m watching the People’s Choice Awards (Sunday, 11/10)! The second I turned it on, it was a last-minute, pre-show interview with Hannah Brown, aka my favorite #Bachelorette and #DWTS contestant ever. By the time this post has gone up, the winners will be announced … and drumroll please … Hannah Brown wins Competition Contestant of 2019! And of course I had to add this: ‘tis the season, Hallmark Christmas movies are here.
But this post is to give you the rundown of what to watch this week. I love writing these posts because I absolutely love watching TV. My budget keeps telling me to cancel my cable and stick to Hulu, Netflix, and now Disney+ (the new HSM series anyone???), but nah, I’d rather not. I’m too much of a DWTS and Grey’s fan to do that to my Xfinity subscription.
People’s Choice Awards Recap: brb, still crying at Iron Man/Tony Stark/Robert Downy Jr.’s entrance. Sure, there were a few oddball winners here and there (Noah Centineo for Comedian of 2019?), but overall, it was a good night. Jennifer Aniston received the Icon Award, Gwen Stefani won the Fashion Award, and P!nk won the Lifetime Award.
Monday 11/11: LIVE, from Hollywood, it’s Dancing with the Stars! IT’S THE FINAL SIX, Y’ALL. And drumroll please … it is Kel Mitchell and Witney, Hannah Brown and Alan, Ally Brooke and Sasha, James Van Der Beek and Emma, Lauren Alaina and Gleb, and whoops—you guessed it (but not really)—Sean Spicer and Jenna. (I believe Lindsay is still out on leave due to a death in the family, so that’s why Jenna is stepping in.) It’s going to be a good show. It’s boy bands and girl groups night! Speechless. Vote for your favorites! Votes matter.
Tuesday 11/12: This Is Us is all new on Tuesday night. I still haven’t watched this show, but it is a BIG hit, and I hear through the grapevine that it’s amazing, unique, and an emotional rollercoaster.
Wednesday 11/13: Riverdale, Nancy Drew, The Masked Singer, and Survivor…and that’s not even it! This Wednesday, on November 13, the 53rd Annual CMA Awards are on. Catch me live tweeting the show by following me on Twitter. Carrie Underwood returns to host the show—sans Brad Paisley. Wednesday is a big night! Are you an Archie Andrews fan, or Luke Bryan-type of gal?
Thursday 11/14: Calling all of Shondaland! Grey’s Anatomy is out with a new episode Thursday night. Catch the new episode, because this one will be a doozy. Meredith Grey has her turn in court, and this will decide if she loses her medical license. She comes “face-to-face” with her past, so is this meaning a Cristina-Meredith reunion that we all need in our lives? This Dirty Mistresses Club tweet-reunion had Twitter in a frenzy, so PLEASE Shonda—can Sandra Oh come back to the beloved doctor show we love so much?!
Friday 11/15: On FX, Night at the Museum will be on 8:30 p.m. Also on the Hallmark Channel is The Christmas Cottage at 8/7c. Hallmark Christmas movies are a staple in this household.
Saturday 11/16: Once again, it’s college football szn! Just like Christmas movies, it’s college football. Idk who’s playin’, but if your school is playing, get your friends together, grab some tailgate foods, and watch some football. (And then watch this Hallmark Christmas movie after.)
