20 Things To Remember When You're Feeling Worried Or Anxious About The Future

Feel stuck, worried, or anxious about the future? You may be a senior in high school or college, or a student, or you’re just caught up in a spiral of worrying about the future. No matter what age you’re at, we’ve all been there. Here are 20 helpful (I hope) reminders for when you’re feeling worried or anxious about the future.

  1. You will get past this anxiety.

  2. Take it day by day.

  3. Life is not meant to be rushed.

  4. Those things will get done.

  5. You don’t need to get everything done in one day.

  6. The future will come, no matter what you do, so embrace the present.

  7. Would you rather spend your days worrying about the future than working on yourself in the present for the future?

  8. Read Matthew 6 and commit it to memory.

  9. Not everyone has their life figured out; in fact, no one has their life entirely figured out.

  10. This worry isn’t worth worrying about. It will only set you back from achieving what you are meant to achieve.

  11. Start on those goals.

  12. Redecorate your space.

  13. Declutter your mind.

  14. Move your body. When you move your body, even if it’s just walking outside, you feel better and get out of your head.

  15. Read a good book to get out of your head.

  16. Give yourself grace. What got you to where you are today? YOU.

  17. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself.

  19. Again, you don’t need to do everything in one day or one month, or one year. Be patient.
