My 2024 TBR: Romance Book Edition
I love reading romance books. There’s something about romance books that I can find comfort in. Romance books genuinely make me smile (and sometimes laugh) and swoon. I can dream. I can let my mind wander to what could happen. What am I looking forward to reading in 2024? A lot of new releases, but also backlist books. Backlist meaning they released in 2023 and earlier. So, let’s get into the list, shall we?
Backlist Romance Books:
Next Door-Nemesis by Alexa Martin // Listening to this right now on audio and loving it! I love the rivals to lovers banter, especially in a homeowner’s association neighborhood battle.
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston // The only book by hers that I haven’t read, and I’m excited to dive into this one!
Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore // This has been on TBR forever. I might read this around the time when season three of Bridgerton drops!
The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon // One of my first reads in 2024 was The Boyfriend Project! I love Farrah’s writing style.
A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair // I think this book is for all the girlies who were obsessed with Percy Jackson/The Lightning Thief series years ago.
Behind the Net by Stephanie Archer // Another hockey romance!!!!
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert (Brown Sisters, 3) // I got this on audio but I honestly might pick up the paperback. I can’t wait for Eve’s story!!
The Boyfriend Candidate by Ashley Winstead // I am SO excited to read this political fake dating romantic comedy!
The Dating Plan by Sarah Desai // At the time of writing this, I had started this listening to this on Spotify Audio, but ran out of listening hours in January. Now I have to wait until February to finish!
New & Upcoming Releases:
Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage (3/5) // I am SOOO excited to read this book after devouring the first one. Now that I know it’s about Wes? So ready.
The Rule Book by Sarah Adams (4/2) // One of my most anticipated reads for 2024! I love Sarah Adams and her writing.
Daydream by Hannah Grace // Another one of my most anticipated reads of the year! I love Henry and so excited to read his story!
This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan (3/5) // I was so excited to read about Soledad since I read Before I Let Go! Really looking forward to reading this one.
Funny Story by Emily Henry (4/23) // Emily Henry can do no wrong. I’ve already read reviews of people who received ARCs and the reviews are looking good!
The Catch by Amy Lea (2/13) // The influencer series is back! I love this series and the characters that Amy Lea creates.
Right On Cue by Falon Ballard (2/27) // Looking forward to what the author of Lease on Love brings this year!
Business Casual by B.K. Borison (7/16) // SOOO excited for the fourth book in the Lovelight Farms series!
Tangled Up in You by Christina Lauren (6/25) // The next book in the Meant to Be series. Books in this series are modern retellings of Disney princesses. Popular romance authors wrote one book in this series. Julie Murphy wrote If The Shoe Fits, based on Cinderella. Jasmine Guillory wrote By The Book, based on Belle. Zordaiva Cordova wrote Kiss The Girl, based on Ariel. This one, written by Christina Lauren, is based on Rapunzel!
Marriage and Masti by Nisha Sharma (8/27) // I’ve been waiting for Veera’s story since I read Dating Dr. Dil! I am so excited.
Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto (7/16)
